Catoctin Creek American Whiskey

Catoctin Creek Distilling Company® was founded in 2009 by Becky and Scott Harris, marking a historic milestone as the first legal distillery in Loudoun County, Virginia since the repeal of Prohibition. Nestled in the heart of the Loudoun Valley in Purcellville, Virginia, this craft distillery has become synonymous with Virginia's burgeoning whiskey renaissance. The distillery specializes in premium rye whiskey, with their flagship Roundstone Rye earning national acclaim. Committed to quality and sustainability, Catoctin Creek uses 100% organic rye grain sourced from local Virginia farms, combined with pure limestone-filtered water from the Catoctin Creek watershed. Their production employs traditional copper pot stills and meticulous small-batch methods, embodying a "grain-to-glass" philosophy that ensures complete control over every aspect of the whiskey-making process. Catoctin Creek has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including multiple Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, establishing itself as Virginia's most awarded distillery. The brand's portfolio includes various expressions of rye whiskey, gin, and brandy, all crafted with the same dedication to artisanal excellence. The Harris's vision of creating authentic, locally-sourced spirits has not only revived a lost tradition in Loudoun County but has also positioned Catoctin Creek as a benchmark for craft distilling in the Mid-Atlantic region.
