Bowmore 1999 12 Years Single Malt Whisky

Apple, cinnamon, quite sweet, sorta smoky... vanilla notes maybe? Nah, definately gettin' spicey bits too. Peaty? Aye, a bit o' that. 🌲 apples, like autumn in a glass. Rather lovely, init?

Hehe, this one's a bit odd but... 🥃 Nose first - get some apple peel and... hmm, warm cardboard? Like sniffing an old book. Take a sip... oh! Starts sweet like toffee, then... 😅 kinda spicy at the back of the throat, like black pepper. Finish is dry and woody, stays a while. Not bad, not amazing. Just... there. A bit "meh" honestly, wouldn't buy a bottle. 🤷‍♂️

Alright, so I've been sipping this one tonight and... wow 😍 First thing that hits ya is this lovely warmth, like sitting by a proper fire innit. Got this gorgeous smoky thing going on, but not too heavy - more like a gentle campfire than a bonfire 🔥 Then there's this sweeet honey-vanilla thing that just... mmm 🍯 Really smooth goin down, not harsh at all. Me mate Dave tried it last week and he reckoned there's somethin fruity there too - like dried fruit maybe? A bit of sultana vibes Oh and there's definately some spice! Get a bit of ginger and nutmeg kick towards the end, keeps things interestin like 🌶️ The finish lingers nicely, get some woody notes, maybe a touch of leather? Hard to explain but it's proper lovely. Got that malty backbone too which I proper enjoy Honestly could sit here all evening with this one. Goes brilliantly with a square of dark chocolate btw 🍫 Anyone else tried somethin similar recently? Always lookin for recs innit 👀

Right, just tried this whisky. Nose is smashing – got that smokiness with a hint of apple. 👃 On the palate, it's smooth like buttah, with a bit of spice kick. Finish is warming, lingers nicely. Lovely stuff! 🥃😊 Sip it, and it's all caramel and vanilla vibes, really delisious. A bit peppery on the end, but in a good way. Makes you wanna go back for more. Cheers! 🍻 Nose: peaty adn fruity. Pallet: creamy wiht honey. Finish: long adn cosy. Proper good dram, this. 👍
