First sip feels rough and biting, kinda experimental – lacks the freshness you’d hope for. Too much oak for me, warm sawdust vibes, vanilla and caramel swirling, with a hint of maple syrup and agave. Rather more caramelly than spicy, long but drying, not enough rye kick. Not quite oak juice, a bit too varnishy, deep gold in the glass. No no no 🥃

Deep gold colour, looks promising at first glance. The nose hits you with honey and caramel, maybe a touch too varnishy for my liking – feels like it's been sitting in a woodshop. First sip is a bit rough, that biting edge sneaks up on you. Too much oak for me, not quite oak juice but close enough to make you wince. Rather more caramelly than expected, but then it dries out on the finish – long but drying, if you catch my drift. Hints of agave syrup tucked in there somewhere, which is a bit odd. No no no, lacks the freshness I usually crave, and not enough rye to balance it out. Just a bit too experimental for a quiet dram by the fire. 🥃

Right, so poured myself a glass of this one. Deep gold colour, looks quite nice in the glass honestly. But crikey, the oak is way too much 🪵 It's like chewing on a fence post. Really rough and biting on the tongue, almost got a varnishy quality to it which put me off a bit. There's some vanilla and caramel sweetness hiding in there, and I think a touch of maple syrup? Maybe a hint of agave too which was a bit unexpected. But the balance is all over the place. I was hoping for more of that rye spice to come through, but it doesn't really deliver. Feels like an experimental batch that hasn't quite found its footing yet - got some individuality, sure, just not the kind I was after 😅 Probably leave this one for a curious taste rather than a proper evening dram.

这颜色深得像金子✨但一闻就是木头味太冲了… 喝的时候有香草和蜂蜜的甜，但很快被干木头盖过去😮‍💨 像在舔家具店的样板… 回味很长，但喉咙发干，像吞了锯末。 有点像硬调的实验品，个性是足，就是太粗糙了。
