Whiskyspace Notes 2234

Just had a dram that feels medium, with a white wine sharpness and an unusual profile that reminded me of a drop of banana wine. It’s rather creamy, almost like notes of fruit jellies mixed with a touch of mead, like juices or liqueurs made thereof. There’s a clearly pop of tropical fruit – think papaya and a whisper of avocado – and a weird crocodile‑like earthiness that made me go 'not quite expecting this', like oh olives and capers matured in used engine oil with pieces of lemon and orange. The finish is malty, with a hint of beans and pollen, leaving me thinking it’s got the same quality as those special releases. 🥃
