Tasting Notes & Reviews
Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right, just had a wee dram of this. 🥃 Colur is rich, like amber. Nose hits you with smoke and honey 🍯. Not too strong tho. Taste is smooth, definatly. Got some spice and fruit 🍎. Finish warms you up nicely 🔥. Proper decent stuff for a chilly night. Would recomend it to mates. Cheers! 🍻
Right, just stickin’ me nose in here… 🥃 Loads of honey’d stewed fruit, a wee bit of vanilla fudge, and this whisper of peat smoke – like a damp bonfire on a Hebridean beach. Not shouty, just… comfy. Onto the palate it’s proper silky, almost oily feel, then you get baked apple, a cheeky nip of salted caramel, and that gentle earthy peat rolls through. No rough edges at all, well behaved. Finish is slow and warm 🔥 touch of white pepper, a waft of driftwood smoke that hangs about on yer chest. Dead moreish, honestly. Could sip this all night. 👌
Ooh that's a good one! 😍 First sip - proper smoky, like a bonfire on Guy Fawkes night. Then this lovely sweetness comes through, honey and vanilla mixing with a bit of caramel. Getting some fruit notes too, apple and maybe pear? Like autumn in a glass 🍂 The peat's there but not overpowering, more like damp earth after rain. Really warming going down, perfect for a cold evening by the fire 🔥 Finish is long and dry, hints of dark chocolate and a touch of spice. Oaky undertones throughout, very mellow and smooth. Nose has got this lovely malty sweetness, bit of citrus peel maybe. Overall quite complex but easy drinking. Would definitely have another dram! 🥃 Really well balanced, not too harsh. The kind of whisky that makes you want to slow down and savour it.
First sip – oh, cherries and a bit of spice! Then it mellows into some oak and smoke. Really nice, goes down smooth. 😋 I reckon this one has a lovely fruity note, like apples or pears, with a hint of vanilla. The finish is a bit woody and long. Quite enjoyable! 😊 Blimey, it's warming – perfect for a cold evening. 👍
