Bowmore Rare Auld 1966 40 Years Single Malt Whisky

omg this one's absolutely brill 🔥 right so first sip... massive peat smoke, proper islay vibes innit. like standing next to a bonfire on a cold november nite 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 then theres this lovely honey sweetness creepin in, bit of vanilla too. kinda reminds me of sticky toffee puding actually 🍯 oh and apples! like baked apples with cinnamon, bit of dried fruit aswell. proper christmassy feelin 🍎 finish is long n smoky, bit of black pepper there. warming all the way dwn 🌶️ would definately hav this agen on a rainy sunday afternoon. maybe with a splash of watter to open it up a bit v nice indeed 👏

Right then, just poured meself a dram 🥃 Nose is lovely init — gettin some warm toffee vibes, bit of vanilla, maybe a touch of oak? Me mate reckons it smells like autumn but idk 🍂 First sip... ooh that's smooth. Got this nice honey sweetness at the front, then some spice kicks in at the back. Proper warming stuff like 👌 Bit of fruitiness comin through now, maybe apple or pear? Hard to tell sometimes when yer just sittin on the sofa watchin telly lol Finish is nice and long, leaves a sorta malty sweetness hangin about. Could sip this all evening tbh 😌 Not too peaty, not too sherry-heavy — just a nice balanced one that goes down easy. Me kind of dram for a rainy Thursday innit 🌧️
