First sip hits with this rather spicy beast of a dram, like coastal pears and fresh mint dancing on the nose – then boom, white cherries and a pale white wine sweetness. But wait, there's this peppery ashes kind of warmth lingering, almost like rhubarb and green plums got into a tussle. The malt's singing through, proper creamy like porridge, but the back end's where it gets interesting... that bitter/green smoke roaring in the back, wee scents of the most elusive peat(iness). Long finish, too – vanilla and fresh almonds trailing off, with a citrusy kick that reminds me of grapefruits and cut grass. Proper complex, very coherent, didn't go down the easy path at all. 🥃

Oh, this one’s a proper beast—just huge on the palate, like a proper autumnal storm rolled into a glass. First sip’s all that fresh mint and pale white wine, almost like a crisp summer’s day, but then—whoa—this smoke’s roaring in the back like a peat fire’s just kicked up, proper elusive but still there, clinging to your throat. Apples and porridge? Yeah, that’s the malt talking, warm and comforting, like a Sunday morning. Then these green plums and rhubarb—sharp as a knife, cutting through the sweetness. And that asparagus? Faint but proper refreshing, like a bite of fresh-cut grass after a rain. The fruitiness is all over the place—white cherries, coastal pears, even a wee bit of quinces, like someone’s just opened a jar of summer in your mouth. Fresh almonds pop in there too, nutty and clean, before the smoke comes back in like a stubborn old friend, wrapping everything up in this smoky, spicy hug. Long finish, proper lingering—like you’ve just had a proper sit-down with a bottle of something special.

First sip is quite a bold one – that’s the smoke hitting me straightaway, a wee bit more than I expected. Then this lovely, earthy peat creeps in, like digging in a coastal garden after rain. Mmm, I’m getting these ripe pears and tart green plums, with a bit of citrusy zing. It’s quite fresh, actually. There’s a green note, almost like asparagus or freshly cut grass. It feels… complex. Like it didn’t go down the easy path. The finish is interesting – reminds me of pale white wine, some rhubarb, and fresh quinces. The maltiness is there, but it’s woven in with this surprising fresh mint. A bit of peppery ash lingers, mixed with white cherries and grapefruit. Overall, it’s a rather spicy beast! But there’s a comforting, oaty porridge-like warmth right at the end, with a hint of fresh almond. Quite the journey. 🥃

Nose: Really smoky with a bit of honey 🍯 and vanilla. Palate: Spicy kick, then smooth with fruity notes 🍎 and a touch of peat. Finish: Long, warm, kinda oaky. Love it, innit? 😊
