The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) was established in 1983 as an exclusive international membership organization for whisky enthusiasts, now comprising over 26,000 members worldwide. Marking its 35th anniversary in 2018, the Society upholds its pioneering philosophy of 'adventurous, unconventional, and endlessly fascinating' cask selection. Through partnerships with 137 distilleries globally, SMWS releases more than 120 cask strength, single cask whiskies annually in the Chinese market alone. Each bottling embodies the purest expression of its provenance: no water added, no artificial coloring, and no chill-filtration—preserving the whisky's integrity exactly as nature intended. Curated by a panel of expert tasters, every bottle captures the singular character of its cask, rendering each release exceptionally rare and collectible.
