Oban is a distinguished single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the heart of Oban town on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1794, it stands as one of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries, uniquely positioned as a 'gateway' between the Highland and Island whisky styles. Currently owned by Diageo and featured in their prestigious Classic Malts series, Oban produces approximately 670,000 liters annually. The whisky is renowned for its distinctive maritime character—reflecting its coastal location—combined with rich fruit and honey notes, creating a perfectly balanced profile. The core expression, Oban 14 Year Old, exemplifies this signature style, while limited releases like the Distillers Edition (finished in Montilla Fino sherry casks) showcase the distillery's versatility.

Really enjoy this one, has a lovely appple and lemon zest upfront 😋, with a hint of honey sweetness. The finish is smoky, like a bonfire on a chilly evening. Quite proper and warming! Sometimes I get a bit of oak, makes it feel more mature. 🥃 Not too harsh, goes down smooth as silk. Perfect for sipping after work. 👍

Right, just poured a dram 🥃. Nose is proper sweet, like honey and dried fruits 🍯. Goes down smooth, no harshness. Got a warm spicy kick though 🔥. Finish lingers abit. Makes me think of autumn evenings 🍂. Definatly worth the pour. Proper comforting stuff for now. Cheers.
