Hey, you know what? First thing I got was a really pretty nose – something floral and delicate, maybe a bit like mullein flower liqueur? There's a lovely touch of Sauvignon Blanc in there too, that crisp, green apple note. On the palate, it leans a bit sweeter than I expected. There's a whisper of dill, which is interesting – it sort of comes and goes. I get some white currant tartness, and underneath it all, a softness I guess is from the grain blend. Then there’s this curious thing – a faint, wet chalk minerality right at the back. It’s not off-putting, just… there. And I swear I get a tiny hint of something like Malibu, a ghost of coconut. 🥥 I think the idea to bottle this at 45% was brilliant. It keeps all these flavours – the first fill barrel sweetness, the slightly out-of-vogue herbals – from being forgotten or blown away. Really rather special.

这杯闻起来就挺有意思的，有长相思白葡萄酒那种清爽的果香，夹着点淡淡的椰子味，像是从第一手木头里带出来的。很漂亮的香气 😊 刚喝的时候，感觉比我想的要甜上那么一点点，带着榅桲果酱和Malibu椰子酒的影子。隐约能尝到茴香和莳萝的草本气息，过一会儿莳萝味又回来了，挺奇妙的。 余韵里有点湿粉笔似的矿物感，久久不散。能感觉到橡木桶好好地发挥了作用，把酒液驯服得很柔和。 整体来说，有种被遗忘的老派风格，但又透着点不落俗套的巧思。我觉得降到45度是个明智的选择，口感更圆润好入口了。虽然对我个人来说稍偏甜，但里面确实藏着些特别的东西 🥃

你知道吗，这杯闻起来有很漂亮的果香，像白葡萄酒混着榅桲和白醋栗的那种清新，还带点长相思的感觉。细细闻，确实有几丝非常轻柔的椰子甜，或许跟麦芽谷物的柔和感有关？ 嘿，第一口下去，甜度比我预想的明显些，不算腻，但甜甜的马利宝印象跑不掉。仔细找找，能尝到茴香和莳萝带来的微妙草本气息，很有意思。不过那个一点粉笔灰似的矿物感尾韵，不算太长，但隐隐约约在背景里，有点复古，现在好像不太流行这样了？ 总的来说，桶的作用感觉很到位，让整体风味融合得挺好。虽然带点甜，但你能感觉到它是用心做的，一种很棒的老谷物酒。毕竟，有点特别的东西藏在里面。😊

This one's got a very pretty nose, honestly, first fill barrels have done their job nicely. Leaning a bit sweeter than I expected, with white currants and a bit of quince, almost like a soft white wine. There's a discreet hint of coconut and a little dill coming through, which is interesting. It's softened or seasoned with grain, and truly a fine old grain at that. Might be a tad sweet for my taste, but that wet chalk lingering in the background gives it a nice dry lift. I think the idea to bring it down to 45% ABV was brilliant, makes it much more approachable. 🥃

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, oak, and a wee smoky edge. Feels smooth, with a gentle spice that hangs about nicely. Quite easy to sip on a chilly evening.
