Right, so I poured a glass and immediately got this pear note – really, pear that’s in the driver’s seat, you know? Then this rose liqueur sweetness came through, so delicate. I could almost taste the incandescent beauty of rye underneath, all golden and warm. It made me think of Hermès ‘Orange Verte’ – that sort of elegant vibe. There’s a bit of peony in there, and honestly, what a distillate! Cherries were particularly prominent at first, but hold on, no cherry for now – it’s more about cane honey and blood orange, very fruity overall. As I sipped, the rose liqueur makes a return in the aftertaste, lingering like a fine cologne. The finish is fairly long, almost kirsch-like, with a whisper of fine de gewurztraminer. Very, very… decadent. 😊
