Whiskyspace Notes 1386

Right, so first sip hits a bit odd — almost like a weird antiseptic note, you know, merurochrome mixed with green apple juice and almond oil? Then it opens up… getting seaweed, a bit of iodine, almost briny like seawater. It’s simple, mind you, super clean — almost too straightforward at first. But wait, there’s smoke, like kippers, and a hint of peaches? Like a white wine vibe with apple juice. Ah, but it loses something mid-palate… feels like the backbone just vanishes. Still, if you’re careful with water, it can balance out. Not sure about anchovies or oysters with this one, but maybe? Overall, it’s got that liquorice wood edge, and the proportions are just… yep, perfect. Feels like a Botticelli painting — ultra-clean, millimetric. Still a fantastic whisky, even if it gets a bit dull later. Cheers! 🥃
