Whiskyspace Notes 1366

Just poured myself a dram and wow, the nose hits you first. It's really something else – very expressive, almost like sniffing a mix of sugar cane and vanilled custard right out the gate. There's a bit of plastics polish, but in a weirdly nice, new-car-interior kind of way? 🚗
Tasting it now... the sweetness is upfront, fructose and white wine notes, maybe some grapefruit juice. But then it gets wilder. I'm getting farmy notes, a bit of hutch, leather, and definitely that horse saddle vibe. A little smoky, like smoked tea or sootier embers, but not as heavy as a Lagavulin – it's just slightly less 'full'.
Finishing up, it leaves a long, slightly drier impression with roots and hay coming through. Almost the same whisky as the 12, but with more vanilled and sweet edges. Really enjoyable for a young one. 😊
