Just had a dram from this new distillery and it's quite something. First thing I get is a hot and raw, spirity hit that feels a bit unaged. There's a creamy note, like sour cream or warm butter, with a tangy yogurt at cask strength thing going on. Oddly, I get a whiff of fish, and then sour apples come through. It's definitely less harsh and rough than some new makes, but with its white colour and that Swiss-Japanese packaging, I'd say it's not quite the kind of unaged spirit anyone should throw into the market just yet. Needs more maturation, I think. 🤔
