Kavalan Sherry Cask 2010 5 Years Single Malt Whisky

"Kavalan" is the old name of Yilan. The Kavalan Distillery was born on Taiwan, this beautiful island, in the Lanyang Plain where mountains and sea converge. The distillery's stills are crafted from copper, which removes sulfides produced during fermentation. During distillation, the heart cut is carefully selected, creating a new make spirit with rich floral and fruity aromas and a smooth mouthfeel. After distillation, the new make undergoes maturation, absorbing various natural aromas through the baptism of oak barrels, producing a beautiful amber hue, while the alcohol strength gradually decreases over time, making the taste more mellow. Before bottling, the blended whiskey is filtered to remove impurities, creating a whiskey that is both distinctive and representative of the distillery's character.
