Justpoured a dram, deep gold in the glass, smells like spice medley with a hint of mosses and old furniture newly varnished. First sip hits a drier amontillado tone, leather and tobacco linger, then a splash of maple syrup and honey sweetens it, balanced by a pinch of salt and pepper. It’s bonkers, wildly expressive, not for everyone but feels like a perfect base for a quiet evening. Same ballpark as those sherried casks I love. 🥃
