Honestly, cracked this open after work on a whim and wow, it’s a proper oddball 🥃 Pours that deep gold, looks lovely in the glass straight away. Nose first hits you with a bit of varnish, then soft eucalyptus, sweet apple pie, peach pie and cooked apricot notes, plus a little vanilla crème and bitter caramel under it all, has heaps of vivacity too. First taste is hot, rather rough at first, really extreme in the best way, no big peppery blast mind, just that gentle white pepper kick, some peat but very little smoke, not your typical t style at all, loads of oak and wood influence too. Then it gets more and more citrusy, heaps of citrus, orange water, concentrated lemon juice at first, gets less fresh and less lemony as it opens up, curious little seawater hint? Didn’t expect that! Finish is extremely long, really playss with your tongue, hints of caramel crème, hot butter, milk chocolate and a tiny dash of cinnamon at the very end. Worth the try for sure, very different from the usual stuff I kncok back.

First sniff hits heavy oak extraction, then loads of cinnamon and cloves with a hint of kumquat. A little tar note sneaks in, weirdly sweet. Rose jelly? maybe not, but there’s lovely honey and nectar, pollen, a touch of eucalyptus. Mint‑flavoured liquorice pops up, becomes massive, then water tames it. Finishing is light, works well, medium length, back to almost normal. Bags of raisins, dark chocolate, hints of hay, black tea, a hint of resinous honey. All that works perfectly well, kind of balanced. 😊

Honestly, it’s not what I expected. The colour’s this deep gold, but the nose hits you with vanilla crème and cinnamon upfront, then suddenly there’s this curious seawater tang that’s a bit odd. First sip’s rough, almost burning, with tannic grip and loads of oak – not fresh at all, more like varnish and hot butter. But then it shifts. Peach pie and apple pie come through, sweet and jammy, mixed with cooked apricot and milk chocolate. There’s some peat, though not much smoke, and these strong salty notes that make me think of the sea. It’s really extreme, almost too much, but the finish goes on forever, bitter caramel lingering after. Weirdly, it’s not very right at the start, but the citrus builds – concentrated lemon juice and orange water with eucalyptus. Definitely different, but I’m curious how it’ll taste tomorrow. 🥃

On the tongue, it's hot and rather rough at first, like a strong tea that's been left too long, but then it softens into vanilla crème and milk chocolate, with a peach pie sweetness that’s oddly comforting. Not very Trish, mind you – no peppery blast, just this gentle white pepper tickle. The oak comes through strong, almost like varnish, and there's a bitter caramel edge that lingers. It’s not really typical, though – more and more citrusy as it opens up, with cooked apricot and caramel crème weaving in. The finish is extremely long, tannic and hot, leaving a salty tang that’s almost burning. Definitely plays with your tongue, and I’d say it’s rather extreme – not for the faint-hearted, but full of character. 🥃

This dram’s got me proper intrigued. First sip hits with a rush of citrus—like someone squeezed a whole orchard in there, from lemon juice to orange water, then piles on cooked apricot and peach pie. Sweet, yeah, but it’s not your standard stuff. There’s milk chocolate and caramel crème dancing about, but it’s rough around the edges, almost burning at the back of the throat. Tannins grab your tongue, and the oak’s shouting through, all varnish and cinnamon. Not much smoke, but some peat sneaks in with these weird salty notes, like seawater and eucalyptus. White pepper’s there, but no big blast—just a whisper. The finish? Extremely long, mate. Hot and bold, leaves me thinking of apple pie left in the sun. Unconventional, but fascinating. 🍫🍋🔥
