Ugh, just poured a wee dram after a long day mate 😂 That raw original distillate hits first, then sharp maritime seawater, bright lemony tang, mixed with funky overripe banana and a whiff of Jamaican rum. There’s a little pepper kick, plus bitter almond notes, proper smoked and green walnuts, even a couple of mustard pops that catch you off guard. The aftertaste goes on for absolute ages, long as anything, with tar, green tea, honeyed molasses and a hint of white wine crispness, all from that Islay cask influence obviously. Even a weird little waft of porridge right at the end, proper strange but totally works? Whole thing feels like a lively tango on your tongue, no two sips hit the same 😌
