Blair Athol 1995 21 Years Single Malt Whisky

Cheers! 🥃 First sip’s got me a bit muddled, tbh. Kinda like this jumble of letters, innit? 😅 It’s... smoky? Not campfire smoke, more like a wisp from a distant bonfire. And a surprising kick of black pepper right at the back. Gave me a little cough, not gonna lie. Then comes this sweet note, almost like burnt sugar or... maybe a hint of chocolate? It’s warming, for sure. A proper winter sipper. The finish is long, a bit dry. Leaves a kinda oaky, slightly bitter taste. Not unpleasant, just makes you think. You know? It’s a dram for slow sips, that’s for certain. Maybe with a bit of strong cheese on the side. A curious one. 🤔🥃✨

Right, so this wisky's got some proper flavours going on. I'm picking up cheese – like a bit of mature cheddar – and then there's plum, sort of juicy and sweet. A hint of apple too, very subtle. It's warming me up nicely. 🥃😊 Sometimes a bit rough on the swallow, but overall, a decent dram. Cheers!
