Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Ooft, proper treat this one. Nose hits with toffee and a wee whiff of bonfire smoke, then some dark choc peeking through. On the pallet, it’s all stewed orchard fruits and a tingle of black pepper, maybe a smidge of leather. Finish lingers warm and spicy, like a hug from an old mate. 😮‍💨🔥

Absolutely lovely drop, this. Nose is all warm toffee and stewed fruits 🍎, maybe a tiny wiff of bonfire 🔥 on a damp autumn day. Palate hits first with that oily, almost buttery feel—then out of nowhere, dark chocolate and a proper spicy kick 🌶️. Finish lingers long and salty, like sea air and a touch of charred wood 🌊. Cracking dram, honestly. 😊

Mmm yeah, this one’s really smooth and warming from the start. 🥃 Bit of a rich, honeyed sweetness, almost like golden syrup. Then a touch of something spicy kicks in - cinnamon or maybe clove. Love that warmth that just sits right there. ❤️‍🔥 Oh and there’s a bit of smoke in the background, not heavy, more like a whisper. Keeps things interesting. You know, that classic "campfire" note but way gentle. Finishes nice and long, with a little vanilla and maybe dried fruit coming through. 👌 Very moreish.

Right, had a dram of this one. Nose: first off, quite smoky, like a bonfire, but then some sweet notes come through, huney and vanilla, I think. Palate: rich and full-bodied, a bit of fruitiness, maybe apple or peear, with a woody, slightly spicy finish. Overall, not bad at all. Quite enjoable. 🥃😊

Right, this one's proper lovely! Got a smooth, honey-ish taste wi' a hint of smokiness. 😋 Slightly spicy on the finish, kinda fruity too. Really enjoyin' it! 🥃🔥

Crikey, this is a proper whisky. 🥃 Smokey as anything, with a right fruity middle. Caramel finish that lingers. Cheers! 👍

Right then, poured myself a wee dram. First thing that hits ya is this proper lovely vanilla smell 🍯, like a fresh cake. Taste-wise, get a bit of apple pie 🍎, maybe some honey. It's got a nice woody bit too, but not too heavy. Lush and easy going down. Really smooth finish with a tiny hint of smoke. Just lush.

Ah, that smoky, honey sort of vibe, innit? Like a cozy fireplace in autumn. 🍂 Got a bit of nutty toffee too. Proper smooth. 🥃 Sometimes a touch of old oak, you know? Makes me think of rainy days with a good book. 📖 Really warms you up, doesn't it? A hint of spice at the end, like cinnamon maybe. Leaves a nice, long finish. Yeah. 👍

Ooh, this one’s proper interesting. First sniff – def getting some warm, spiced apple 🍎 and a bit of that classic vanilla oak. Let it sit a moment and… ah, there’s a lovely, gentle smokiness coming through, like a distant bonfire 🔥. Maybe a hint of orange peel? On the palate, it’s smooth, really smooth. The sweetness isn’t cloying at all – more like burnt caramel 🤤 and toasted nuts. There’s a peppery kick right at the end that just makes you want another sip. Finish is long, warming, with that gentle smoke hanging about. Really moreish. Cracking stuff for a chilly evening. 🥃
