Took a sip and immediately thought, "Blimey, this is chic." There's a menthol kick that sneaks in, like a old humidor sneezing in me face, but then it gets all mysteriously meady – reckon there's a bit of banana wine and very old chardonnay dancing about. The taste shifts to white chocolate and buttercream, sweet and smooth, but then bam – sour apples and citron liqueur hit like a voodoo spell. My palate's in a right tuddle with old beeswax, embrocations, and a whisper of camphor. It's like someone melted a medlar, fig, and jujube into a pot, then added a dash of secret balms and old furniture polish. The gold hue's giving me black tea and walnut vibes, with soft cinnamon and overripe mirabelles lurking in the shadows. Finish's medium, with a refreshing aftertaste that's pure old Sauternes and white currant jelly – proper elegant, like it's got a PhD in taste. Somehow it's emblematic of a rainy afternoon in a library, but also weirdly fun. Voodoo, innit? 🥃
