Smells like apples and cinnamon with a touch of orange blossom and tea cake. The taste is honeyed, not too sweet, with spicy oak and cardamom. There's some over-oakiness, but it's not too loud. The finish is drying, with cloves and sandalwood. The color is full gold, and it's quite complex. I loved the nose, very aromatic. Maybe a hint of cranberry juice and sugar cane underneath. The palate is a bit simpler than the nose, but still smooth. 🥃

Right, so this one caught me off guard a bit. The nose is lovely - got this nice floral thing going on, chamomile and honeysuckle mixing with some orange blossom water. Really rather smooth on the first sip, though the palate feels a bit simpler than I expected. 🍊 There's definitely some fruity notes - apples, a bit of cranberry juice tang, maybe some calvados vibes. The spicy oak comes through nicely with some cardamom and pepper, though it does get a bit drying towards the end. Tastes like mead with a splash of cider, and I'm picking up some precious wood notes - rosewood and sandalwood I reckon. There's a hint of tea cake and pie crust in there too, a bit of Geranium jelly sweetness. Not exactly sweet though, more honeyed with a bit of sugar cane. The oak's louder than I thought it'd be, perhaps a touch of over-oakiness? But the finish is quite long and fruity so I'm not complaining! That full gold colour really suits it. Overall pretty complex stuff - would happily pour another dram this evening. 😊
