Hmm, this one’s interesting. First sip, I get this sweet mead and ginger combo, almost like a classier take on mulled wine mix. There’s a bit of raspberry liqueur in there too, plus something spicy – cardamom and nutmeggy notes, very festive. 🎄 As it sits, I notice fresh fruits come through, especially raspberries, with a faint dustiness underneath. The wood influence is there but less full than some, making it feel rounder and simpler. Mid-palate, a gingery kick joins in, maybe with a touch of roasted maize and cumin? It’s pleasant, but the flavours lack a bit of coherence for me. 🤔 The finish is pretty long, with those cereals and a sweeter, gold-like quality lingering. Good stuff, though it gets a bit unusual towards the end – trouble after the 10, if that makes sense. Overall, quite a unique dram. 🙂
