刚倒进杯里就是深琥珀色，像晒透的蜂蜜。闻起来有很明显的李子果酱和黑加仑果冻的甜香，底下还藏着老阿马尼亚克那种陈年木质味。 第一口是浓郁的黑樱桃和咖啡太妃糖，慢慢变成甘草和姜的微辣，有点像小时候吃的老式糖果。中间闪过一丝雪莉桶的甜润，还有点烟斗烟草的干燥感，挺复杂的。 最奇妙的是，回味里居然有肉汁汤块的咸鲜感，像加入了某种鲜味。尾调很长，是黑巧克力混合清凉薄荷，带点雪松木香。感觉这杯酒层次堆得很满，喝的时候一直在找新的味道。🍷

第一口就跟嚼了一块涂了黑樱桃果酱的巧克力，浓得像Gran Reservas那种老阿马尼亚克的余韵。鼻子里钻进来的不是单一麦芽，倒像Ben Nevis那股被埋了半辈子的泥煤味，夹着一缕暖烘烘的泡菜——miso？对，就是那种发酵后的暖意。 舌尖上先是一股浓缩橙子皮的marmalade，像被太阳晒过的老橙子皮，带点苦。然后突然蹿出一股像是用tonic water泡过的老阿马尼亚克，冰凉的薄荷气息缠着舌根，像刚从冰箱里拿出来的巧克力蛋糕。后面跟着一丝烤面包的pumpernickel香气，夹杂着Bovril那种深色酱料的咸味，但又被chocolate压住了。 最后是一阵黑樱桃cassis jelly的甜，像被人偷偷塞了一颗liqueur-filled chocolate进嘴里。余韵拉得老长，像是喝了一杯加了ginger的老雪莉桶威士忌，舌头上还残留着一丝Raspberry eau-de-vie的果味，跟liquorice根一起打转。整杯喝完，嘴里像是嚼了一口涂了soy sauce的老烟斗丝，但又被coffee toffee的甜给中和了。 完美到边缘，像是被人偷偷藏了几十年的老酒，就等着你发现。

Poured myself a dram, that lovely deep amber colour right away. The nose is just packed, honestly. First thing I get is that old, moist pipe tobacco, then these lovely black cherries and cassis jelly underneath. There’s a touch of something savoury too, almost like a hint of miso or Bovril mixed in. The taste is proper heavy malt, coated in wonderful chocolate and coffee toffee. It’s got that rich, syrupy thing going on, like a liqueur-filled chocolate. Very OB-ish, you know? Solid. There’s a real depth here, like an old Armagnac or a gran reserva sherry cask character, some rancio wine notes buried in there. Finish goes on forever. Menthol and liquorice pop up at the end, with just a ghost of that ginger and soy sauce umami. Really complex. Just sits with you. 🥃

Just had a glass of this whisky, and it's like a cozy evening by the fire. The sherry cask really comes through, with wonderful chocolate and black cherries dancing on the tongue. It's heavy malt with a long finish, kinda like coffee toffee and a touch of liquorice. I'm getting hints of Bovril and miso, that savory umami stuff, but buried so nicely. The color is beautiful amber, and it smells like moist pipe tobacco and old Armagnac. There's a bit of Raspberry eau-de-vie and marmalade, plus cassis jelly and ginger. It reminds me of rancio wine or Gran Reservas, with a menthol kick that's surprising but cool. Supra-sherried Macs vibe, but honestly, it's bordering perfection for me. 🥃 Just wonderful.

Poured a dram of this deep amber beauty. Nose immediately gives off that old study vibe — moist pipe tobacco and old Armagnac, almost dusty but in a nice way. There's rancio wine, marmalade, and then I get this savoury hit, like a touch of miso or soy sauce right under the fruit. On the palate, it's heavy malt wrapped in a sherry cask blanket. Black cherries, a big lump of coffee toffee, then comes the liqueur-filled chocolate and cassis jelly. A bit of ginger heat peeks through. Really digging the pumpernickel and liquorice notes underneath — keeps it grounded. The finish is long, fading into coffee and that lovely rancio again. Just sitting here, thinking this is bordering perfection. 🥃
