Had a dram tonight, lovely pale gold colour, really farmy nose with a touch of dried fruit from the port cask. The peat is there but mellowed, feels like a perfect alliance of the peat and the candied side from the cask – superb, great sip. 😌

Right, this one’s a pale gold colour in the glass. The nose has got a real farmy, earthy thing going on with peat smoke underneath. It’s not overwhelming, just… there. Proper countryside vibes. Taking a sip, that peaty version character comes through nicely. It’s not a peat monster, but it’s definite. You get this lovely balance with the earthy, almost mossy notes. It’s just really, really good. Quite superb for what it is. 👍

Poured a pale gold, got a strong farmy vibe straight away. The peat was there but nicely balanced with some sweet notes from the cask. Bloody marvellous, really. 🌿🔥
