Cor, that's quite something! 😅 First whiff got a proper hit of ammonia and varnish, nearly put me off. But stick with it... Then BAM, this really strong honey and sweet chestnut comes through. It's like lapsang souchong tea meets beef stock, very savoury. Definitely a sherry-dominated beast, you can tell it's got that Ballechin soul. All glazed chestnuts and umami. Then it gets even more mental - blackest chocolate ever, heavy liquorice, and this weirdly brilliant bit of peanut butter. The finish just goes on and on. Proper old rancio vibe. Fascinating and adventurous dram. Not for everyone, but blimey, if you like 'em bold. 👍
