Just poured a dram of this one, and the colour is proper gold, like late afternoon sun. 😄 Right off the bat, there’s still a smoky thing going on, but it’s not all campfire. Getting lemons, and weirdly, whiffs of fresh parsley. The nose has this sawdust and camphor note, and a bit of seaweed? It’s unique. There’s a softer side too, like acacia and lighter honeys underneath. Taking a sip, it’s a whole journey. First hit of green apples and good citrus, then some charring comes through. I swear I’m tasting dandelions, like in a field. There’s a modern bourbony side with vanilla and caramel, but then it does these proper turns and twists. Ends up with yellow flowers and that lapsang souchong tea vibe. The finish is rather long. The smokiness left in the aftertaste is like a gentle memory. You know, it’s a bit like carts to horses... starts one place, ends up somewhere else completely. Keeps me guessing. 🤔

Right, had a dram of this one last night and it proper took me by surprise. 🥃 First thing I noticed was this smoky, tea-like thing going on — reminded me of lapsang souchong, that kind of campfire-meets-old-leather vibe. There's a wee bit of charred wood in there too, like someone's been at a bonfire in the garden. Then the citrus kicks in — bright lemons, maybe a touch of grapefruit, really lifts the whole thing up. Got this fresh parsley note floating about, which sounds odd but actually works. Almost herbaceous, you know? Deeper in, there's something coastal — seaweed maybe? Like standing on a beach in Scotland with a cuppa. 🌊 The ex-peater casks have done their job here, giving it that proper earthy smokiness without being over the top. Hints of dandelions and coriander keep popping up, proper turns and twists in there that keep you guessing. The finish is rather long, still smoky, lingers on like a good conversation down the pub. Honestly, quite enjoyed it. Would definitely have another. 😊

Quite a gentle wee dram at first — vanilla, light honey and green apple 🍏 Then it gets a bit twisty: camphor, seaweed, charred wood and that lapsang smokey tea vibe. A touch floral too, like yellow blossom. Finish hangs about nicely, with smoked herbs and a dry, coastal smoke 🌊🥃

Quite cosy, this one. I get honey, soft oak, a bit of dried fruit and a gentle spicy tingle 😊 Feels warm and easy-going, with a wee smoky touch at the end. Nice for a slow evening.

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, soft oak, dried fruit and a wee touch of spice. Feels warm, mellow, and easy to sit with on a chilly evening. A tiny smoky hint too, but not too much.
