Rather sweet at first, with overripe apples, a hint of liquorice and a cough syrup thing going on. Then it turns smoky and grubby, like fireplace ashes, tobacco, engine grease and a tiny oil spill by the harbour. The alcohol is pretty fierce, honestly quite lethal 😅 but there’s still a nice golden sweetness under it, with a bitter, medicinal finish that hangs about.

Blimey，这一口挺猛的，像海风里混着烟草、焦糖化的黑糖和一点柏油味，旁边还飘着牡蛎和海水那种咸鲜劲儿。 后面有熟过头的苹果、浓啤酒、咳嗽糖浆，还有点松脂和旧木油的感觉。酒劲真的顶，差点一下把人放平😂 收尾挺长，带着烟、泥沙和一点机油感。

Tried this one neat last weekend, honestly feels like downing a strong beer then realising it’s actually whisky. Mouthful of tobacco and fireplace ashes, bit of acacia gum sticky sweetness underneath. Colour’s proper gold, tastes like overripe apples left on a tree too long, smoked brown sugar... and tar? Weirdly good though. Noticed some teak oil, petrol note hit me straight away—definitely a very nice Ardbeg vibe. Silt from a riverbed maybe, knocks you flat instantly if you’re not ready. Finish has this pine resin on a hot August afternoon thing, with sorrel and spinach? Still quite sweet through it all. Oh and the aftertaste—engine grease mixed with cough syrup. Oysters and seawater pop up too, bit like a coastal walk. Slightly restrained by the very high alcohol content, mind. Rather sweet overall, mussels and various paints and coatings? Quite rich, honestly. From a butt, slight oil spill aspect on the tongue, hint of liquorice. Quite lethal, but bloody good. 😄🔥

刚倒出来就闻到好重的烟熏味，混着海风的那种咸，还有点焦糖甜。 喝一口下去，哎哟，先是那种很浓的麦芽甜，但立刻就被机油和碘酒一样的味道盖住了，有点像喝完止咳糖浆再舔了一下旧轮船的栏杆。 后面慢慢浮起一些水果味，像是放得太久的苹果，还有一丁点甘草和湿木头。烟味一直都在，像坐在八月下午晒过的松树旁边，炭火还没熄。 酒精感挺强的，但意外地没那么冲，只是慢慢地往喉咙深处钻。尾韵很长，先是药味，最后剩下一点灰烬和海藻的咸腥。 整个人有点暖烘烘的，后劲不小，像被稳稳地按在了椅子上。😊

Alright, so this one... starts with a proper kick of smoke and spice, almost like standing by a bonfire. 🌶️ Then it mellows out into something sweet and fruity—maybe some orange peel or dark chocolate? Very warming on the throat. A bit of that classic oak and vanilla coming through later, you know, that lovely aged taste. Not too sharp, just smooth. Oh, and a hint of something floral? Like heather or fresh herbs. Quite complex, but in a good way. 👍 A smashing dram for a chilly evening. Cheers! 🥃
