Just tried a whisky that's quite big and rich, a real treat. 🥃 On the nose, I get dry herbal teas and soot, like an old fireplace. There's a golden hue that reminds me of apple peelings and a hint of pepper. The higher ABV gives it a punch, but OB’s more precise profile shines through. Palate-wise, it's buttery with saltiness, and I taste cooked asparagus and walnuts. Sherry + peat makes for a smoked tea vibe, with notes of Pear and pineapple sweets. There's even something like yellow wine and leather, with a dressing of exhaust fumes, but it works. Finish is long, with pepper back in the aftertaste and a touch of Graphite. Very good overall, that saltiness lingers nicely. 😋
