Glen Elgin 38 Years Single Malt Whisky

Right then, had a dram last night and it was proper lovely 🥃 Nose: first thing I got was honey and a bit of vanilla sweetness. Then some dried fruit notes came through, maybe a hint of cinnamon? Quite warm on the nostrils 👃 Palate: oh that's nice. Smooth with a touch of oak and some gentle spice. Bit of leather and dark chocolate lurking in there. Really well balanced tbh Finish: medium length, leaves you with this lovely warmth. Slight smokiness at the end that just lingers nicely 🔥 Honestly just what I needed after a long day. Went down a treat with a wee bit of water - opened up them flavours beautifully ✨ Would definitely have another glass like 👍
