Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Right, had a dram of this last night. 🥃 Nose is full of sherry vibes, proper fruity. 🍇 Taste hits warm, got that oak and vanilla comin through. 🪵 Smooth on the palate, no burn whatsoever. Finish lingers lovely, bit of spice at the end. Definately reminds me of Christmas pudding. 🎄 Proper good for relaxin after work. 👌 Might have tasted a hint of caramel too? 🍯

Right then, had a wee dram 🥃. Nose is lovely, hint of heather and smoke 🔥. Palate warms you up, sweet like hunny 🍯 then spicy. Finish is long... proper cozy feel. Definitly need another glass 😌. Perfect for a rainy evening 🌧️. Spot on.

Proper bonfire waft on the nose, like autumn leaves smouldering in a damp orchard. 🍂 Then it gets jammy—stewed plums and a cheeky bit of honey’d malt. On the tongue it’s surprisingly round, almost syrupy, with gingerbread warmth and a tiny zing of citrus peel. A little pepper tingle at the end, then it fades soft and slow. Dead cosy dram for a grey afternoon. (And no, I definately didn’t pour a second one before finishing the first 😅)

Gotta say, that first sip hits ya with a real spicy kick 🔥 like cinnamon n' clove mixed together. Then it mellows out... a bit o' honey sweetness, maybe some toffee? 🍯 After a while, I'm gettin' this lovely warmth in me chest, not burnin' just... cosy. Like sittin' by a fire on a cold night. 🥃 Wait, is that a hint of apple? Or maybe pear? Hard to tell, but it's nice n' fruity. A real proper dram, that is.

Just had a dram of this whisky, and it's smashing! 😋 Smells a bit like heath and honey, with a whiff of smok. 🍯🔥 Tastes smooth, like custard with a spicy kick. 👍 Not too heavy, goes down easy. Could use a bit more depth, though. 🤔 Overall, a proper good sipper for a rainy day! ☔

Right, so... this whisky. 🥃 Nose first — bit of a charachter, innit? Sort of... heavy berries? Like blackcurrant maybe, but with this savoury, almost... rye-like edge. And sugar. Obviously. Palate-wise... mmm. Thick. Oily. That berry thing comes back, but it’s not sweet-sweet. More like... stewed fruit with a handful of soil? Weird, but in a good way. 👍 Aye, and there’s a woody, almost dusty note, maybe from the barrel? Lingers a bit. Finish is where it gets ya. 🔥 Warm. Not burny-warm, just... present. That berry-rye-savoury mix hangs about. Leaves you thinking, "What *was* that?" Quite the journey, tbh. Not a casual sipper, this one. Requires attention.

Just had a sip – wow, it's got this deep smoky kick 🔥 with a hint of honey sweetness, like a cozy evening by the fire. Smooth and warm, leaves a tingly finish that lingers. 🥃 A bit of spice too, maybe cinnamon? Tastes kinda earthy, not too overpowering. Really enjoyin' it! 😊
