Expert analysis and tasting impressions
Right then, poured a wee dram tonight 🥃. Nose is sweet, like vanila and oak 🪵. First sip warms the chest straight away. Taste is smoth, hint of spice on the tongue. Finish lingers abit longer than expected. Proper lovely stuff for a cold evening 🌧️. Makes you feel quite relaxed. Cheers mates 🍻.
proper nice dram this 🥃 nose is warm.. like honey and a whisper of smoke 🔥. reminds me of autumn evenings. taste is smooth but got a bit of spice kick 🌶️. feels cozy in the chest. finish lingers lovely. sweet fruit 🍐. realy hits the spot on a rainy day. cheers 🍻
Proper dram, this. 👌 Nose is all stewed apples n vanilla fudge, wi’ a wee whiff of dried fig. Oak’s there too—kinda leathery, warm spice like a scrap of cinnamon stick. 🍎🥃 Palate’s proper smooth. Coating. Honey’d flapjack, then that oak creeps in, bit of white pepper, and a whisper of heather smoke. Finishes long and gently ticklin’—no burn, just a lovely spicy glow. Cheeky pour that keeps unravelling. Cracking stuff. 🔥
Hmmm, this one's got a bit of a character. 🤔 Looks a nice amber in the glass. First smell is proper smoky 🔥, like a distant bonfire. Gets me thinking of autumn. Then there's some sweet stuff underneath - honey 🍯 maybe, and a bit of pear 🍐. Takes a sip... ooft. The smoke hits first, but it's not harsh. Kinda chewy, you know? Like Christmas cake mixed with a bit of leather. There's a spicy kick at the end too, ginger or cinnamon. Makes my tongue tingle. A bit of water really opens it up. More of the vanilla and oak 🍂 comes through now. Feels smoother, like polished wood. The finish is long and warming. Leaves a taste of toffee and toasted bread 🍞. Really comforting on a cold night. Definately a slow sipper, this one.
Nose: 🔥 Smokey but not overkill, got this lovely peat and spice thing going on. Also picking up some sweet fruit, like apples and pears. Palate: 🍯 Oh wow, so smooth. Vanilla and honey hit first, then a bit of citrus zing. There's a nice malty backbone, and hints of leather and tobacco leaf that give it proper depth. Finish: 🍂 Really long and warming. The spice lingers, along with a gentle, fruity sweetness. Overall: Just proper comfort in a glass. 🥃 Complex enough to keep it interesting, but utterly smooth. Like a hug from the inside. 😌
This whiskey's got a proper smooth vibe, like velvet on the tongue. Rich with fruity hints – think ripe berries and a bit of citrus 🍊. There's a subtle smokiness in there, almost like a cozy campfire, and it finishes with a sweet vanilla touch that's just lovely. 🥃😊 Makes you feel all warm and satisfied, innit?
Oh blimey, this one's a proper treat! 😊 Got a real nice smoky start, like a bonfire on a chilly evening. Then there's this sweet, honey-ish note that comes through – bit of fruity apple maybe? 🍎 The finish is warm and spicy, with a hint of oak. Goes down smoothe, not too harsh at all. Perfect for sipping by the fire. 🥃 Just love how it lingers, like a good chat with mates. Cheers! 👌
