Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Tasting notes from tonight's dram 🥃 Right so this one's got that lovely golden colour init, proper rich honey vibes straight away. Nose - getting some nice vanilla and butterscotch, bit of citrus peel underneath. Maybe a touch of toffee apple? Quite inviting tbh. Palate - ooh that's smooth, malty sweetness hits first then some dried fruit comes thru, figs and dates sort of thing. Getting a wee bit of cinnamon spice too 🌶️ Finish - medium length, gentle warmth, lingering sweetness with a hint of oak. Not too shabby at all mate 👌 Overall impression - quite a pleasant sipper, would deffo enjoy this again on a cold evening. Goes down easy, real easy actually. Might be dangerous lol 😅 Would pair nicely with some dark chocolate or a bit of cheddar imo. Just a solid everyday pour that does what it says on the tin yknow?

Right, so this dram – first thing I get is a hit of smoky peat, like a proper campfire 🔥. Then there's a sweet fruity vibe, maybe apples and honey 🍎🍯. Finish is long and warming, with a hint of cinnamon. Bloody lovely stuff, mate! 😊 Sometimes it feels a bit woody too, like autumn leaves in a glass 🍂. Really smooth on the swallow. Top notch! 👍

Smells like a rainy walk through some old pine woods... woody, kinda damp soil, maybe even a hint of that fresh pear drop sweetie? 🤯 First sip is proper warming, not too fiery though. Get some rich fruit cake, maybe a bit of orange peel, and definitely that classic vanilla oakiness. Leaves a long, spicy finish. Like cinnamon and black pepper having a party on your tongue, with a distant memory of smoke. Really satisfying. 🥃🥃 Goes down a treat with just a splash of cold water.
