Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

Blimey, this dram packs a proper punch. 🥃 Nose smells like dark chooccy and toasted oatmeal, kinda smokey but fruity too 🍊. On the palate its creamy, lots of honey notes wi’ a hint o’ spice buildin up. Not too sharp, jus’ enough warmth to relax yer nerves. Finish leaves a pleasant ache on the gums. Proper nice stuff mate. Will def grab another glass soon. 🤷‍♂️✨

Oh, the smell hits you first – warm toffee and a gentle puff of smoke, like sitting by a fireplace. 🍂 It’s proper smooth in the mouth, like honey and vanilla had a baby. There’s a wee bit of oakiness there too, but not overpowering. Finish is long, with a hint of spice sneaking in. Leaves a nice warmth in the chest. 👍 Overall, a right comforting dram for a chilly evening.

Ah, this whisky's got a real smooth vibe. Tastes like vanilla and honey, with a touch of oak. 🥃 A bit of smoke sneaks in on the finish – not too strong, just nice. Really enjoy it on a cosy evening. 😊

Gotta say, this one’s a real treat. First sip hits with this warm, honey-like sweetness—like golden syrup on toast. 🍯 Then you get a bit of vanilla cream, maybe some toffee too. Proper cozy stuff. A touch of spice at the back, like cinnamon bark. 🌶️ Finish is long, leaves a gentle heat in your chest. Not harsh at all, just a pleasant glow. Could sit by the fire with this for hours. 🥃 Honestly, it’s like autumn in a glass. Smells a bit like damp leaves and bonfires too. Lovely stuff.

Oh bloody hell, this one’s proper smoky! 😤💨 Kinda like a campfire on a rainy day, you know? Gets this warm, sweet thing going on later... Honey, maybe? 👀🍯 Then - wham! - a bit of spice kicks in. Chili? Or just black pepper? Hard to tell, innit. And there’s this background thing... Oak barrels, I reckon. Makes me think of my dad’s old shed. 🌳 Wouldn’t say no to another glass tbh. Just need some dark chocolate or something with it. 🍫 Pretty decent, yeah. Not too harsh going down. Could get used to this. 😉🥃

Sip n' savour, that's a good un 🥃 Tastes like cosy autumn nights by the fire, y'know? Kinda smokey-sweet, with a bit o' warmth that lingers. Nice drop, that. Cheers!

Blimey, this one's proper nice! 🥃 Right so first thing I get is this gentle fruitiness, like ripe pears and a bit of honey drizzled over cake 🍰 Then there's summat woody and natural comin through, maybe a touch of herbal notes aswell Tastes really mature, init? Like it's had a good few years sittin in that cask 👍 Not too peppery neither, just a wee tingle at the end Honestly quite lovely this, the quality is proper decent. Would defo have another glass or three 😄 Cheers! 🍻
