Tasting Notes & Reviews

Expert analysis and tasting impressions

1#1

Right, had a wee dram of this tonight. 🥃 Nice amber colur, looks promising. Nose is lovely, got that hint of vanilla and maybe some pear 🍐. Taste is smooth, not too harsh on the throat. Bit of honey and oak comin through 🍯. Finish lingers nicely, warm like. Proper good for a quiet evening in. 👍 Would definetly have another glass. Makes me feel quite cosy. 🛋️

Right, poured a dram earlier. 🥃 Nose is proper intense, smoky vibe straight away. 🔥 Palate feels warm, sweet like honey🍯 but with a kick. Finish lingers... makes you feel all cozy inside. Definitly one for a quiet evening by the fire. 🪑 Lovely stuff. 👌

First sip, got this rich caramel sweetness, almost like toffee. 🍬 Then some vanilla comes through, really smooth and creamy. The smokiness is there but not too heavy, just a gentle woody note. 🌲 A bit of fruity tang, maybe dried fruits or something. Spicy kick at the end, warming me up nicely. Over all, a proper dram with loads of character. 😊🥃 Sometimes i get hints of honey and nuts too. Really enjoyed it, cheers!

Ooh, just had a sip. 👌 First whiff, I'm gettin' a lovely bit o' smoke, like a bonfire 🔥 in autumn. Quite nice, that. Taste-wise... it's a bit thick, y'know? There's this... how do you say it... a kinda chewy sweetness. Maybe dried fruit? Apricots, maybe? And then there's a spike of spice at the end. Peppery, like. The finish hangs around. Warm, like. A bit woody. Quite moreish, to be honest. 🥃 Makes you want to take another sip just to figure it all out again.

5#5

Just had a dram and it's grand! 🥃 The nose is all honey and a bit of smoky wood, like a cozy fireplace. Tastes smooth, with some fruity notes – apples maybe? – and a gentle spice. Finish is warm and long, leaving a lovely tingle. 😌 Really hits the spot on a rainy day.

Well, this whisky's got a proper smoky nose, innit? 🥃 Tastes a bit like burnt wood and honey, with some peppery kick at the end. Really warms ya up on a dreich day. 👍
