Honestly, this one’s a proper journey. Pours a beautiful amber, and right away you get this wave of sherry cask sweetness and something earthy, like damp soil after rain. The taste is brilliant – dark chocolate and dryish raisins, but there's a fresh, minty note that cuts through, almost like an old-style crème de menthe. Hints of liquorice wood and black cherries pop up too. It's got that classic, classy feel, maybe a bit like an art deco whisky. The finish is long, really long, with that earthy mushroom note coming back alongside the liquorice. Super complex. You take a sip and time flies. Truly excellent stuff. 😊
