Quite a cosy dram, really. I get custard, hazelnut liqueur and marrons glacés first, then it drifts into bitter chocolate, coffee and that church candle wax thing. There’s a wee fresh varnish edge, a splash of Jerez vinegar, then black pepper, mustard and a tiny green pepper nip. Feels sherry-ish but leans a bit bourbon too. Gets drier still, with a controlled burn and loads more chocolaty warmth 😊
