Kentucky Highway is a historic Kentucky Bourbon brand originally established in 1935 by the Willett family at their namesake distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The brand was discontinued when Willett Distillery ceased operations in the early 1980s during the bourbon industry downturn. In 1997, Even Kulsveen (who married into the Willett family) reopened the distillery—now operating as Willett Distillery—and revived the Kentucky Highway brand. Initially released as a carefully sourced bourbon while the distillery aged its own stocks, the name evokes the iconic Kentucky Bourbon Trail and the highways connecting the state's legendary distilleries. Today, it represents the heritage of America's bourbon heartland, offering expressions that reflect both traditional Kentucky bourbon character and the Willett family's legacy of craftsmanship.
