Gouden Carolus is a prestigious Belgian single malt whiskey brand originating from the historic HET Anker Brewery, one of Belgium's oldest breweries founded in 1471 in Mechelen. After Louis Van Breedam's acquisition in 1872, the brewery was renamed HET Anker in 1904. Its legendary 'Emperor Beer,' launched post-WWII, was rebranded as Gouden Carolus in 1960. Leveraging centuries of brewing mastery, HET Anker embarked on whiskey production in 2010, introducing Gouden Carolus Single Malt – one of Belgium's first craft single malts.
