FEW Bourbon Whiskey

Founded in 2011, FEW Spirits stands as a defiant testament to history in Evanston, Illinois—a city that once served as the epicenter of the American Prohibition movement and maintained its dry laws until the 1990s. As the first distillery to operate in Evanston post-Prohibition, FEW Spirits literally helped draw the final line under nearly a century of temperance zealotry. The name 'FEW' carries a double meaning: it nods to the brand's small-batch, craft philosophy while simultaneously honoring Frances Elizabeth Willard, the formidable president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union whose advocacy made Evanston a stronghold of the Prohibition movement. It's a poetic reclamation—whiskey crafted in the very heartland that once sought to abolish it. Embodying a 'less is more' ethos, FEW Spirits meticulously oversees every stage of production in-house—from grain to glass. The distillery sources premium local ingredients and employs hands-on craftsmanship throughout brewing, barreling, and bottling. This uncompromising commitment to quality has earned FEW Spirits numerous prestigious awards and international acclaim within just a few years, establishing it as a standout craft distillery that transformed a city of temperance into a beacon of artisanal spirits.
