Courage & Conviction Single Malt Whisky

Courage & Conviction is the flagship American Single Malt whiskey series from Virginia Distillery Co., nestled in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. This pioneering expression represents the vanguard of the emerging American Single Malt category, combining Scottish distilling traditions with American innovation. Crafted using 100% malted barley and copper pot stills, the whiskey is matured in a unique triple cask regimen of ex-bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and cuvée wine casks, leveraging Virginia's dynamic climate for accelerated aging. The series showcases notes of honeyed orchard fruits, vanilla, toasted oak, and spice, reflecting the terroir of the Blue Ridge region. Named to embody American pioneering spirit, Courage & Conviction has garnered international acclaim, establishing Virginia as a legitimate whiskey-producing region and challenging preconceptions about American whiskey beyond bourbon.
