5Nines 2017 2 años Single Malt Whisky

5Nines Distillery represents the singular vision of founders David Pearse and Steven Griguol—two artisans united by an uncompromising quest to create the perfect spirit. The brand's name is a direct reflection of this philosophy: 5Nines denotes 99.999% perfection, the highest attainable standard of precision and excellence in distilling, borrowed from engineering's gold standard for reliability. Situated in the pristine Adelaide Hills of South Australia, a cool-climate region renowned for its world-class wine and spirits production, 5Nines operates as a true craft distillery focused exclusively on small-batch, artisanal production. Our core portfolio centers on hand-crafted single malt whiskey, super-premium gin distilled with native botanicals, and a curated selection of other fine spirits. Every expression is built on a foundation of traditional copper pot distillation, extended fermentation periods, and the purest locally-sourced ingredients, capturing the distinctive character of our terroir. The cornerstone of the 5Nines experience is our exclusive Whiskey Cask Ownership Program—an immersive, multi-year journey that transforms enthusiasts into whiskey creators. Participants select from a carefully curated collection of premium oak casks (ex-bourbon, sherry, wine, or virgin oak), which are then filled with our signature new-make malt spirit. Under the direct mentorship of our distilling team, owners monitor their cask's maturation in our climate-controlled bond store, making critical decisions on aging duration and finishing techniques. The result is a deeply personal, one-of-a-kind whiskey that reflects both our craftsmanship and the owner's individual vision—a spirit that can never be replicated.
