Poured a glass, nice gold colour. First sniff’s got that saltiness, like a sea breeze mixed with oysters – Lou Reed could’ve written a song about it. Hmm, there’s a sweet peat note, but it tries to mimic the Scottish peaters a little too much. Almost like a shortcut. Goes down easy though, soft Talisker vibe. Middle’s got oranges and grapefruits, some almonds underneath. Wee tad cardboardy there for a sec, but it fades. Finish is medium, with sweets and a hint of cough medicine. 🍊 Overall? Good and flawless enough for a Tuesday night. No drama.

Just had a wee dram, you know? At first it's all oranges and grapefruits, really bright. Then there's this bizarrely gentle whiff of iodine, kind of sea-like? The peat is rather round, not sharp at all. Honestly, feels like the easiest sip among the three I tried tonight. Maybe a wee tad cardboardy in the middle, but that passes quick. It's like a shortcut to something sweet – I’m thinking hard boiled sweets, the old-fashioned kind. Medium bodied, uncomplicated, really. There’s a hint of green pepper right at the finish that lingers. Strangely poetic, actually. Lou Reed could have written a song about it. 🥃
