Brilliant stuff this 👍 Smells like rain-soaked Islay soil and a bit of engine oil, but in a really good way. Tastes proper peaty with some liquorice and seaweed popping up. There's a sherry hogshead sweetness balancing it all out, and a touch of citrus keeps it fresh. Reminds me of straw bales and pure Laphroaig character, really spot on. Finishes clean and flawless – ausgemacht good!

First sip – that rain-soaked Islay soil hits you, very saline and seaweed, with ashes and a medicinal edge. Almost engine oily but not off-putting. Then comes apple and lemon citrus, a waxier mouthfeel. Hints of liquorice, salted liquorice, and a minty kick. Walnuts and straw in the background. It's perfect, hi-def clarity – Olympic calibre stuff, truly ausgezeichnet. 😊

第一口就感觉这酒简直perfect啊！🌊 先涌上来的是明亮的柑橘和苹果香，带点甘草的甜味，然后有种老药草房和烟草叶混合的气息。闻着闻着…又好像闻到了艾雷岛雨后的泥土味和海藻的咸鲜，真的太神奇了。 喝到后面，雪莉桶的果干和核桃味出来了，还有一丝燃烧后的木灰感？但居然不突兀。尾段有清新的薄荷感，还有一股非常纯粹的、带着泥煤味的海盐感在舌头上打转。 余味很长，最后留下的居然是晒干的稻草香和一点柠檬皮的清新。整体感觉层次分明又浑然一体，喝一口脑子里就像在放高清纪录片，把艾雷岛的风土都喝进去了。这才是真·好喝到转圈圈！🔥

Wow, tried an Islay malt tonight – the aftertaste is so long, like rain-soaked Islay soil lingering forever. Got lemon and apple upfront with a hint of mint, then that sherry hogshead brings liquorice and waxier notes. There's a medicinal seaweed vibe, almost ashy, with Islay mud thrown in. Pure straw aroma too. Olympic calibre stuff, really perfect. Ausgezeichnet! 😊

Just had a dram, and it's hitting all the right spots. Nose first – sherry hogshead sweetness, walnuts, and a bit of salted liquorice. There's a saline kick, like sea spray. On the palate, apple and lemon pop up, with a waxier feel than usual. That pure Islay character shines through – reminds me of Islay mud and rain-soaked soil. Medicinal notes and engine oil edge in, weirdly charming. The aftertaste is long, leaving ashes and a flawless finish. Perfect for a rainy day. 😊
