Lovely amber dram, proper cosy stuff. I get raisins, figs, honey and toffee first, then a bit of marmalade and ginger warming things up. There’s a darker side too — bitter chocolate, pipe tobacco, even a whiff of old ashtrays and gunflint. Somehow it makes me think of bread with rich gravy and a tiny herbal flick of parsley. Quite classical, quite magnificent really 🥃
