Cracked this one open on a grey Friday evening and honestly, it hit different. That colour alone — proper amber gold, gorgeous in the glass. 🥃 First sniff and you're basically standing next to a beach campfire, all smoky and coastal, dried seaweed drifting in on the breeze. Then it opens up into something almost like rummaging through a box of cigars in your grandad's study. Dead lovely. On the palate it's strong in flavour but not aggressive about it — the proportions work brilliantly. Peat's there, obvious, but it's not shouting over everything else. You get tar, engine oil, ashes of all kinds... sounds mad but it all fits together like a riff worthy of Jimmy Page. Superb, really. Then there's this little sharp twist — a caper, maybe a small gherkin, little green pepper — just enough to keep things interesting. And then, almost out of nowhere, a bit of grapefuit sneaking in alongside some mint and touches of liquorice. Toasted brioche underneath it all, holding everything together with a bit of dark honey sweetness. 🍯 The finish goes on for ages. More of the same for quite a while, which is exactly what you want on a Friday. Oyster shells and oyster on the way out. Proper coastal dram, this one. Well chuffed with it.

Lovely amber-gold dram, all dark honey and sweet maize at first, then it turns smoky like a beach fire after rain. I get dried seaweed, a wee nip of green pepper, mint, and that oily garage note, almost like engine oil in a strangely cosy way 😄 Ashy, peaty, and it hangs about nicely.

Just had a dram of this peated blend – the amber gold colour caught my eye straight away. Nose is lovely, with a bit of grapefruit sneaking in, toasted brioche, and touches of liquorice. Also getting dried seaweed and oyster shells, kinda like a beach campfire with ashes of all sorts. There's a box of cigars in there too, and some mint freshness. On the palate, it's strong in flavour – engine oil and tar hit first, then a small gherkin tang and maize sweetness. The peat's bold, and the proportions work brilliantly. Finish goes on with more of the same for quite a while, a riff worthy of Jimmy Page, really. Superb stuff, almost a monument to that classic peaty style. 👃🥃

Oh wow, this one’s like a dark amber gold in the glass, reminds me of engine oil but in a good way? First whiff is straight up a box of cigars and a beach campfire, with maybe some toasted brioche underneath. It’s strong in flavour, that’s for sure. Took a sip and got this amazing oyster shell minerality, like you’re right by the sea. Then some dark honey comes through, sweet but not cloying. There’s a touch of liquorice in there too, kinda herbal. The proportions work brilliantly – the smoky, the sweet, the salty. 🤤 Finishing with ashes of all kinds, like a peated blend that really delivers. Superb stuff, honestly. Feels like a riff worthy of Jimmy Page on the palate. Well played. 🔥

Quite cosy, really. Bit of honey and vanilla up front, then some oak, gentle spice, and a wee smoky warmth 😊 Feels smooth, mellow, and nicely warming on a chilly evening.
