First sip hits like straight ristretto – bold and bitter, but then it opens up to walnut wine and molasses sweetness. Got this awesomely vegetal and meaty vibe, kinda like beef jerky with cracked pepper. Aroma’s got pipe tobacco and old triple-sec citrus notes. Feels like it’s been in the cellar for twenty extra years, you know? 🍂 The finish is long – dry coffee, vegetal tar, and very old dry rancio. Hints of black raisins gone completely dry and raw cocoa. Truffles in the aftertaste, along with dry gravy and mushrooms. A bit of marmalade and smoked ham, with that old copper kettle feel. Really extractive, like water from Campbeltown quality. Dark 12s energy, but more intense. Beef broths linger too. Complex stuff!
