Pale gold in the glass, with a funny mix of sherry, cider and lemon squash at first. Then it goes a bit strange, like over-brewed tea, paper, butter, custard and even a whiff of fresh concrete. There’s peppery lemon juice, sawdust, a touch of bacon, and that drying oak rather takes over after a while. A little challenging, but weirdly amusing too 🙂 Finishes quite long, with bitter orange cream and a wee bit of mint hanging about.
