Right, so this one's proper orangey on the nose. Tangerines, really. Then it hits the tongue with a bit of barley sugar sweetness, but there's some good power behind it. Sort of a drier style, mind you. Got this interesting thick texture, almost like motor oil, but in a good way. A flash of metal and then some ginger spice comes through. The finish is rather long and peppery. Not getting much in the way of heady floral notes. Bananas and tinned pineapples linger somewhere in the background. Most certainly one of the most robust Irish I've tried so far, it's got a little more oomph than usual. Very typical stuff, in the best way. 👍
