Whiskyspace Notes 1387

Well, this is absolutely excellent! 😋 The colour is a rich amber, and there's a wee fizziness that tickles the tongue. First off, I get coconut water and peaches, but then rather a lot of honey and maple syrup kick in – so sweet and indulgent. Vanilla and lemongrass weave through, with a hint of coriander and blood oranges. The aftertaste has fruit skins and a super-fruity vibe, like crushed bananas with a touch of metallic notes. Makes me think of older blends, but less complex than Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason – pretty Thai-Irish, I'd say. There's a tiny embarrassment when I recall spilling a drop 😅, but no harm done. Pistachio nougat and patchouli linger subtly. We're flown to Ireland instantly with this Thairish charm.

Wow, this is absolutely excellent. First sip, I’m hit with blood oranges and a lovely super-fruity wave. Then the vanilla kicks in, smooth and medium-weight. Seriously, we’re flown to Ireland instantly. It’s like peaches and lemongrass having a party. Then… rather a lot of honey kicking in, sweet but not cloying. There’s something pretty Thai-Irish about it, maybe a hint of lemongrass and patchouli in the background? The finish has pistachio nougat and those fruit skins in the aftertaste. It’s a fun, vibrant pour. Less complex than Mariah Carey's latest recorded opus, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be. Just really good. 😄

Nose immediately hits you with this really fragrant lemongrass and a sort of spicy, almost floral note – that'll be the Timut pepper, I reckon. There's a big whiff of vanilla and maple syrup, almost too sweet, mind you. Then underneath, a bit of that familiar old-bottle character, like finding a dusty bottle of blend at the back of your grandad's cupboard. It's wonderfully fruity on the palate, super-fruity even. Crushed bananas and a massive wave of honey come through. There's this interesting mix of coconut water and something a bit herbal, maybe a touch of patchouli. A hint of that metallic note, not bad, just there. You know, it's not trying to be too clever – less complex than a really heavy philosophy book, more like a straightforward pop tune. The finish has these fruit skins and a little pistachio nougat sweetness. A tiny bit of fizziness lingers. Honestly, at the end of the day, it's just really good stuff. Absolutely excellent. 👍

Right, so this one hits you with this super-fruity vibe straight away — peaches and blood oranges dancing around. There's vanilla in there too, like proper creamy vanilla, and honestly the maple syrup note is a LOT. Like someone went a bit mad with the bottle. 🍯 Got this wee fizziness that's quite fun, and then these crushed bananas come through which is... unexpected but not bad at all? Feels like one of those older blends your uncle used to keep on the shelf. Tastes pretty Thai-Irish to me if that makes sense — bit exotic, bit classic. Less complex than Mariah Carey's latest recorded opus, but sometimes you just want something that's nice without thinking too hard about it, don't you? Poured myself a dram and honestly felt like we'd been flown to Ireland instantly. Just a tiny embarrassment that I polished it off so quickly. 😅

Quite warming, with a bit of honeyed sweetness, soft spice and a gentle oaky dryness. I get some citrus peel, vanilla, and a wee smoky touch at the end 🥃 Easy enough to sip, cosy, and nicely mellow.
